The mess I'm in

Lately my life has been crazy. I've been making leaps and bounds lately in getting the legal framework of the farm put together. It will be a non-profit, both to get out of paying taxes and to reap in the subsidies. I also have my first employee. His name is Hank, he's forty something and is experienced in setting up non-profits, getting grants, getting sponsorship, and generally making it much easier to do things with what others want to give. But success seems to be a two-sided coin. I've run into my first real problem. I have a squatter. Her name is Ginny Holsman, according to her LLC. If that's her real name I don't know. However, I do know that she is an experienced conartist. When I first found out that she was there, I told all of the neighbors (to make her unwelcome) and called the police to have her arrested for burglary and breaking and entering. The cops, proving themselves as worthless as I've always suspected, refused to arrest her because she has a contract. How did she get a contract, you ask? Allow me to explain: she typed a contract on her computer, printed it out, somehow stole my signature, signed the contract for herself, then finally xeroxed the copy of my signature onto the contract. The cop told me he wouldn't arrest her because she was a little old lady who cried when questioned and that I clearly was trying to take advantage of her, because thats what 20 year olds are good for, taking advantage of old women. It was the most ageist bullshit I've ever heard. When I asked the cop if he had checked the basement door to see where the padlock had clearly been broken from the hinges holding it to the door, he admitted that he hadn't. I hate cops.

Now, how do I get out of this mess? Right now I am in the process of playing the eviction game by the rules. My lawyer is working on getting an eviction notice approved by a judge, making it legitimate. However, I just read in the Landlord-Tenant Law pamphlet that Hank gave me this: "Those who are generally not covered by the Residential Landlord-Tenant Act are: (and then it has a list) *Residents of a single family dwelling which is rented as part of a lease for agricultural land." According to Ginny's contract, her reason for "renting" from me is to establish her horse business. So I may not even be able to get rid of her legally.

The only legal recourse I have at this point (that I know of, I'm not a lawyer) is to press charges for forgery. I do not want it to come to this because A. proving that I did not in fact sign any contract could be incredibly difficult, and B. if I can't rely on the cops, what assurance to I have that the legal system is going to be any more functional?

That is in-freakin'-sane.

I'd pay some other old lady to go down there and beat the crap out of her daily, until she left.

Un-related question: Where is the dry cleaner that you used to go to that was only $2 per item? Jeff's grandma wants to get her favorite hat washed.

I'd like to pull some under handed stuff like that. Maybe cut the power lines, break windows, destroy the water heater, but my lawyer has told me not to.

The dry cleaner is on Benson, in the same strip as GI Joe's. That's assuming its still there, I haven't been in a while.

Thanks.

What DID the lawyer tell you to do?

He told me to sit tight. I have some plans though. I'll write about them after I do them. I feeling a bit paranoid that my squatter may be reading this, and I want to be sure to catch her off guard.

Joe

That is some sucky shit.

Maybe you could put some compost in the building she is squatting at and bring in the fruit flies which might annoy her away?

Or maybe you could get her to work for you, somehow?

In regards to our conversation last night, I really do wish we could meet sometime and share information./

peace dude.

Ginny Holsman

I have recently (and legally) won a court case to evict one Ginny Holsman... God however didn't want to wait, and evicted her for me prior to the "official" date via a tornado. Now she is using the "tornado" as why she needs to find work. Does anyone know if she was officially on SSI (Social Security Disability?) That was one of her excuses... that her check didn't get forwarded... thus I needed to pay for her "meds" until her check came. (Her "meds"... for without which she would supposedly go into a coma and die... were nothing other than holistic herbs, etc.)

I was able to have her arrested prior to the tornado (3/12/06) on what the state of Missouri calls "Stealing a credit device." However, Missouri laws are different than many parts of the country, and she was released within 20 hours... pending the Prosecuting Attorney receiving further paperwork to once again enforce an additional warrant for her arrest to hold her. (They confiscated my check book and one of my credit cards which was found in her posession.)

Anyone with additional information to give me towards prosecuting this woman (or wishing to add their own claims)... please contact me via e-mail at: jocarta@yahoo.com

Thank you,

Re: Ginny Holsman

I have also been taken advantage of by this woman! I thought I was helping someone that needed housing after she was blown away in the tornado and she tried to take over my horse business and took full advantage of me to the point of changing my feeding system and my feeds and then proceeded to curse me out after I gave her a place to live free of charge. I was lucky enough to get her out of the house but have a very sick mare right now that I attribute to something that was given to her without my knowledge. I can't believe that someone would just break into your home and set up house keeping but it doesn't surprise me that it was her. I'm sure she's busy conning someone else into helping her out.

Re: Ginny Holsman

I am currently having a problem with a Ginny Holsman that follows all these discriptions all the way down to the tornado. I have just fired her and told her she needs to leave the facility. We have feared this might be an issue, after her first week here employed. would you like to know where she is? I have her phone number, address, and pmb box. as well as a copy of her driver's liscences, ss#. my email is tdenault@oz.net .
